We use Device Information (particularly your IP address) that we collect to assess potential fraud or risks and, more generally, to enhance and optimize our Site (for example, by generating insights into how our customers browse and interact with the Site and evaluating the effectiveness of our advertising and marketing campaigns).

Law 25 - Protection of Personal Information

We want to inform you that certain provisions of the Law modernizing legislative provisions regarding the protection of personal information in the private sector, also known as Law 25, apply to our website. This reform modernizes the rules protecting personal information in Quebec to better adapt to the new challenges posed by the current digital and technological environment.

The main new obligations that apply to our website under Law 25 include:

  • Designating a person responsible for the protection of personal information and publishing their title and contact information on the company's website.
  • In case of a privacy incident, keeping a record of all incidents and taking prompt measures to reduce the risk of harm to those affected. A company must also notify the Commission and the affected individuals of any incident that presents a serious risk of harm.
  • Pre-disclosing to the Commission the verification or confirmation of identity done through biometric features or measures.
  • Complying with the new framework for the communication of personal information without the consent of the individual concerned in the context of a commercial transaction or for study, research, or statistical production purposes.

These obligations are put in place to ensure enhanced protection of the personal information of our website users.
